Nick Primrose is the Chief, Regulatory Compliance at the Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT) overseeing the port’s regulatory compliance in the areas of maritime law, environmental policy, safety and risk management, and government affairs.

Prior to joining JAXPORT, he served as Deputy General Counsel for Florida Governors Ron DeSantis and Rick Scott, and General Counsel for the State of Florida’s Division of Emergency Management. In 2018, he was the Florida Elections Day Operations Director for the NRSC, leading election integrity efforts for Rick Scott’s Senate Campaign, including navigating through a successful statewide manual recount. Appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis, Nick has served as the Chairman of the Florida Elections Commission since 2021. He is actively involved in the Federalist Society, the American Enterprise Institute’s Leadership Network, and Leadership Florida Connect Class 11.  

Nick has a B.A. in Political Science from Lake Forest College, an M.P.A. from DePaul University, and a J.D. from Barry University. An Ohio native, he currently lives in St. Augustine, Florida with his wife, Paige, and their Golden Retriever, Hudson.
