Maggie Cleary is an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Virginia. Previously, she was an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Culpeper, Virginia. Maggie has prosecuted violent crimes, crimes against children and animals, narcotics offenses, and fraud. She has briefed and argued numerous appeals in Virginia Courts. In her private capacity, Maggie served as tutor to applicants for U.S. citizenship, a board member of the Powell Wellness Foundation, and as Vice Chair of the Culpeper Republican Committee. She also co-founded Leader Launch, a mentoring initiative for young people in her community. Maggie is active in her church, an 8th generation Virginian, and a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Maggie graduated with honors from Georgetown University and received her J. D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
