Joy Lee is a political lawyer, experienced in state and federal campaign finance and election law, ethics, tax-exempt organizations, strategic communication, and major large-scale events of national significance. She currently serves as General Counsel of the Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC), the political committee dedicated to recruiting and electing Republicans to state legislatures and to the offices of lieutenant governor and secretary of state. 

Most recently, Joy was Counsel at the Republican National Committee (RNC) and the primary Counsel for the 2020 Republican National Convention, successfully navigating the legal challenges with having multiple host cities during an unprecedented global pandemic.

Born in Seoul, South Korea, and raised in Los Angeles and Baltimore County, Joy is a first-generation American and a proud Republican. She earned her B.A. in Communications at the University of Maryland and her law degree at Washington and Lee University School of Law. Joy serves on the Executive Committee of the Republican National Lawyers Association, and previously served on the boards of College to Congress, the Federalist Society, Washington and Lee University Alumni Association’s D.C. Chapter, and D.C. Young Republicans. She resides in Washington, D.C. with her goldendoodle, Caro.
