Frank P. Ward III
Frank Ward is a Texas-based public affairs consultant with more than 15 years of experience in government, politics, and business. Ward’s professional life has taken him from the RNC to The White House, Capitol Hill to the Export-Import Bank of the United States, the Texas Capitol to Public Strategies, Inc., and The Mach 1 Group, where he served as a Partner and Vice President of Client Services. After a competitive campaign for Austin City Council in 2018 that saw him make the runoff, Ward decided to start a small business, becoming the founder and principal of Austin-based consulting firm Forward Public Affairs. For the past two years, he has served as the Director of Media Relations for the Texas Education Agency, where he is the agency’s lead spokesperson.
Active in his Church, and as volunteer for causes and institutions he believes are bettering society, Ward served for many years as a MavPAC Chapter Leader in Austin; he has remained deeply involved with his alma mater, Denison University, where he was elected student body president, and also enjoyed being a DJ on the school’s well regarded radio station, WDUB; more recently, he was appointed to serve as a Commissioner on the Parks and Recreation Board for the City of Austin, during which time he was named the Land, Facilities and Programs Committee Chairman; a strong advocate for public media, he has spent the better part of a decade providing his time and energy in support of Austin PBS, KLRU-TV, home of the longest-running music program in television history, Austin City Limits; he is a member of the Austin PBS Board of Directors; Ward is also a Charter Member of the Listen First Project Board of Directors, which has led a national movement to bridge divides, and has helped more than 350 organizations bring Americans together across differences.
The proud father of three little Texans, he and his wife, Marion, are thankful to call Austin, Texas home.
