Emily trapani
Emily leads the Americas portfolio for the Public Policy and Government Affairs team at Equinix, a global digital infrastructure company. She previously served on the Republican staff of the House Committee on Homeland Security, rising from Professional Staff Member to Subcommittee Staff Director, under former Chairman Michael McCaul, former Ranking Member Mike Rogers, and current Ranking Member John Katko. While on the Committee, Emily worked on multiple pieces of legislation that became public law. Emily previously held roles in government affairs at K&L Gates Public Policy Group and in public opinion polling and market research at tech startup Morning Consult.
Emily is an alumni of the Alexander Hamilton Society Security and Strategy Seminars on US-ChinaRelations and US-Iran Relations, the Partnership for a Secure America, and the 2019-2020 cohort for American University's Women &Politics Institute “We Lead Campaign Training Program” to advance women in political leadership roles. Emily earned a Bachelor of Arts in both Political Science and English from the University of Rochester and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Business with a specialization in the intersection of business and public policy. Emily has served as a panelist and guest lecturer, speaking on public policy topics ranging from cybersecurity and data privacy to nation security topics.
