Andy is a Houston native, and graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a degree in Economics and a minor in Mechanical Engineering. After graduation, he was commissioned as a second lieutenant as an Aviation office and would then go to Flight School where he learned how to fly Blackhawk helicopters. He served in the Army from 2005 to 2011 and in his time in the Army, was stationed in: Alabama, Washington State, Kuwait, Iraq, and along the DMZ in South Korea. 

After his time in the Army, Andy joined Shell at the beginning of 2012 as a Project Engineer. Shortly after joining, he founded a veterans’ network within Shell, growing it to over 800 employees worldwide. At the end of 2013, Andy moved into Hydrocarbon Measurement and Allocation as a Production Data Management & Projects Analyst until 2015 where he joined the Commercial Midstream group supporting the Northeast natural gas trading desk. From there he became the Water Manager for the Marcellus shale asset, and when that was divested in May of 2020, made a pivot to being a Cost Engineer for the Vito project in the Deep Water projects group. In May of 2021, he moved into trading as an Originator focusing on deals for gas, power, and renewable energy. He recently finished up his MBA at the University of Chicago – Booth School of Business where he founded the Executive MBA Veterans group. He is married to his wife Melissa, and they have four kids together
